Apple car :

Apple Car is a canceled project by Apple, which was initially announced in 2014. The project was canceled in February 2024. Here are some key points about the project:

- Project History: Apple started working on the Apple Car project in 2014 under the codename "Project Titan." The project went through many changes and leadership issues over the years.

- Initial Plans: Apple initially planned to design a fully autonomous vehicle with no steering wheel or pedals. The goal was to create a vehicle that would operate on its own.

- Changes and Cancellation: The project was scaled back multiple times, and the goal shifted from a fully autonomous vehicle to an electric vehicle with driver-assistance features. Apple ultimately canceled the project in February 2024.

- Reasons for Cancellation: The reasons for cancellation are not explicitly stated, but it's likely due to the challenges and complexities of developing an autonomous vehicle.

- Employees and Leadership: The project had a team of around 2,000 employees, who were reassigned to other divisions within Apple, laid off, or moved to Apple's generative AI team. The project was led by John Giannandrea, Apple's AI and machine learning chief, and Kevin Lynch, known for his work on the Apple Watch.

- Partnerships and Manufacturing: Apple was exploring partnerships with car manufacturers, including Hyundai, but did not secure any deals. The company was also working on developing its own processor for the Apple Car.

- Features and Design: The Apple Car was expected to have a Level 2 autonomous driving system, which includes steering and brake/acceleration support. It would have also featured LiDAR sensors, radar sensors, and cameras for driver assistance. The initial design had a unique interior with four seats facing inward, but it was later changed to a more traditional design.

Foldable iPhone Prototypes and Design Rumors:
- Apple has allegedly discussed several foldable screen sizes, including one that unfolds to a size similar to the 6.7-inch display on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and others in the 8 to 9 inch range.
- Apple's designs are said to have a "mostly invisible hinge" with electronics located behind the display rather than two panels separated by a visible hinge.

Foldable iPhone Patents:
- Apple's first foldable iPhone patent surfaced in 2016, describing a smartphone that folds in half horizontally using a flexible OLED display and a hinged metal support structure.
- A 2019 patent application describes foldable smartphone with a built-in heating element or display heating feature to cut down on failures at the fold in cold temperatures.

When Will Apple Launch a Foldable iPhone?:
- According to The Information, Apple has no plans to launch a foldable iPhone until at least 2026.
